PostSubject: Establish viable lines of Mangalitzas in the UK   Mon Mar 02, 2009 6:08 pm

Hi,

ever since Tony announced he was bringing Curly Coated Pigs back to the UK I was sure I wanted to be involved, so as soon as I could I picked up my first 4 weaners from Tony.

Since then I have managed to get 3 of the original Swallow bellied imported - including the wonder Boar, together with Curly line, Princess line, Bonny line & abbottess line - 13 Adults in total.

My Goal/project is to ensure that the offspring from these are as genetically viable as possible, and eventually swap a couple round so I have all of the lines represented (Pride, Leader and Topsy (Perfection seems to be lost already) will be represented eventually) - though I will probably need to win the lottery to e able to house and feed many more :<)

Here is to the future of the Mangalitza in the UK.

PS visit http://mangalitza.org and give your feedback to UK breeding of Mangalitzas.

Regards
Mak Graham
