Pork is called “the other white meat” and you certainly can choose a full flavored white wine to go with it.
A good chardonnay, or a Rhone-style white such as Roussanne, will work exceptionally well.
Lighter reds go perfectly, such as a Pinot Noir, as do most Red Burgundies.
But if your pork chops or roast have a fruit sauce to it, try a red Zinfandel with that delightful spicy plumy taste.
Mustard sauce on your pork? Pinots again if they are the earthy variety, or Syrah.
And if your pork chops are grilled? A smoky Syrah is perfect.
Cheers
